Are there primordial black holes?
Category: Astronomy
Status: Queued
Black holes formed in the very early universe could potentially account for some or all of dark matter. Constraints from microlensing, CMB, and gravitational waves rule out many mass windows but leave others open.
LIGO/Virgo black-hole mergers above ~50 solar masses, and the intermediate-mass gap, have been argued by some to require a primordial population.
