Is there a Planet Nine?
Category: Astronomy
Status: Queued
The clustering of orbital elements of distant trans-Neptunian objects has been argued to indicate the gravitational influence of an undiscovered planet of roughly 5–10 Earth masses far beyond Neptune.
Alternative explanations include observational bias and the gravitational pull of a disc of small bodies. The hypothesis remains controversial; surveys including the Vera Rubin Observatory may settle it.
