What lies beyond the Standard Model?

Category: Physics

Status: Queued

The Standard Model of particle physics accommodates almost every experimental result, yet it leaves out gravity, dark matter, dark energy, neutrino masses, and offers no explanation for the values of its many parameters.

Supersymmetry, extra dimensions, and various GUTs have been proposed for decades. Discoveries of beyond-SM phenomena at the LHC or future colliders remain a central goal of particle physics.
